Adapting European Electricity Market Design to increasingly larger volumes of Variable Renewable Generation

North European Power Perspectives (NEPP) and the Electric Power Systems group at the Royal Institute of Technology will host the 2015 NEPP Winter Seminar in Stockholm on January 29th.
The seminar will focus on one of the most difficult issues confronting electricity generators, consumers, system operators, policymakers, and regulators: how to design electricity markets and policy to accommodate increasingly large volumes of variable renewable generation. The seminar will begin with a presentation by a guest from Germany, Jörg Jasper, Group Expert Energy Economics & Policy, EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, followed by NEPP members Johan Linnarsson, Sweco Energy Markets and Richard Scharff, PhD student at the Electric Power Systems group.
The seminar will be held in English.
